Designed by
Carlo Scarpa
A cornerstone of Italian design , a sculptural structure that became the emblem of the “Ultrarazionale” movement which towards the end of the 1960s suggested overcoming the limits imposed by rationalism and the recovery of traditional aesthetic values.
Part of Cassina’s SimonCollezione, the Doge table has been updated over time with the introduction of new treatments and materials developed as part of the C90 Mutazioni program. The architectural base in aluminum or satin-finish steel, defined by thick, flat profiles, constitutes the essential part of the table, while the elegant and refined detail of the support elements is highlighted through the transparency of the glass.
The current proposal includes five sizes inspired by the first model created by Scarpa , available with a float glass top or in the white Carrara marble or black Marquiña marble variants.
