Fiore di Loto – Céston
Local artisan tradition inspires a sophisticated design project for the table in two textile collections – elegant, practical placemats in two fabrics and two patterns. Together draws upon the handiwork of Myanmar, where the long-neck women start with yarn from lotus flowers to create soft, uneven weaves. The placemats, on the other hand, are reminiscent of the Friulan basket-making tradition, starting with woven wicker which creates geometric patterns based on simple shapes, that forms the support for the plate.
