Charles and Ray Eames used several variants of the small LKR chair – including the LSR version with a plastic shell – in the Eames House, their legendary home in Pacific Palisades. Like all other Wire Chairs, the LKR is available without upholstery, with a seat cushion or with a two-piece seat and back cushion known as the ‘Bikini’ pad due to its shape. In the model without upholstery, it is also suited for outdoor use.
